He is also a licensed lifeguard at open sea, so you can feel pretty safe if you find yourself on one of the tours he is leading. He will make sure that he captures any breathtaking moments which might occur with his camera as his hobby is photography. Dalibor is happily married and proud father of 2 sons – Nikola and Leo. Zeljko Zarak

Zeljko graduated in electrical engineering in Zagreb and has taught six years in high school. As he was always close to nature and loved spending time outdoors he decided to exchange classroom for a job that would provide him more time for his hobbies. So, since 1994. he works in publishing and he is a proud owner of a small publishing house specializing in travel and outdoor literature. But that’s not all; if you love jazz maybe he can provide an extra ticket for one of the largest jazz festivals in Croatia as he is a program manager for the same. He is actively engaged in climbing and mountaineering, backcountry skiing and cycling. In recent years he is also working as a leader of hiking and trekking tours in Croatia.

Vanja Lovric

If you like leisure, moderate or only ˝flip-flop˝ grade hiking tour you will most likely find yourself on a tour where Vanja will be your tour leader. Vanja, graduate of Ethnology and cultural anthropology and pedagogy, is also a part of VMD Travel agency office team. She started her leader career in 2005. after she mastered tourist animation in some of the largest hotel complexes she definitely decided that working with people is what she enjoys the most, of course, followed closely by outdoor activities! She has a great cheerful character and most would say a great sense of humor. She tried her luck in most of the group sports, but in basketball and futsal she accomplished noticeable results playing for her Faculty. Even though her colleagues are trying to tie her to the office desk she will always find a way to join you on a tour and will do her best to make it memorable and joyful one!

Boris Ostruznjak

Boris is our reliable know-it-all guide, enthusiastic about his job, meeting new people, enjoying the landscape and surrounding nature and very concerned about you comfort. Traveling should be fun with a healthy amount of movement and some knowledge, that is his credo. He is fluent in three languages and has therefore been declared the VMD agency’s linguists. His first love is long distant swimming so if he is not leading tours he is planing a new swimming marathon along Adriatic coast. For the past three years he has been working as tours leader discovering Croatian mountains.

Ana Kunstek

Ana is one of our most experienced cycling tourleaders. She’s been an integral part of the team for more than 5 years now. Within this period she worked hard to give 100% to each and every cyclist that ever came to her programs. As a proof of her tourleading value, friendly approach and great cycling expertise, she is often invited by group members to visit cycling routes in their own countries, where she continues to keep and raise the cycling spirit of her new-found cycling friends. If you find yourself on a tour with Ana, you can expect a strong, active tourleader and a cycling-inspiring vacation. When not on tours, Ana works as a licensed lifeguard on Zagreb’s lake Jarun, where she once again dedicates her expertise to keeping people safe and happy.

Bojan Dermol

Bojan is our young tourleading expert, strong in cycling, better and better in tourleading. Bojan came to our team through Ana Kunstek, one of our more experienced cycling experts, as a colleague life guard and a passionate cyclist. Still active in cycling competitions, Bojan decided to turn his passion into work and has joined our team to become our new „cycling hope“. His competitive sporty spirit will give you a fun, well-paced active week, embroidered with a cultural and historical insight of the region.

Vladimir Fumic (Vlado)

VMD Travel takes pride in having an ex-Yugoslav cycling champion and Olympic veteran in its team. Vlado is the most experienced cyclist among VMD tourleaders, who brought new energy, vast knowledge and good-quality ideas to our programs. He runs our more challenging trips, where group members get a chance to ride alongside a true sportsman, who will always motivate you to do „that one step further“ to giving the best out of the cyclist in you.

Sanja Reiter

Together with Marija Serdar, Sanja makes an integral part of our discovery trips-tourleading team.
A history and geography teacher with a passion for travel – that’s Sanja. During her high school she started traveling around Croatia and Europe and found her passion. „Learning new languages, experiencing different cultures and seeing amazing natural beauties is the best thing a person can experience (plus going to live concerts!)“, says Sanja.
Following that trail during her university years, she continued traveling and expanding her horizons, meeting new people, cultures and natural habitats. The experience of seeing other countries reminded her that here in Croatia we also have something to say and show so here she is…doing just that!

Marija Serdar

Also a licensed cultural guide for Central Dalmatia region, Marija enjoys working with people and spending time in nature, so being a guide for hiking & discovery groups came as a natural choice for her. Here is what she says about herself: „I have always been an active nature lover so to say, so I often hike and ride a bike in the surroundings of my hometown. My great hobby is also swimming and playing waterpolo. I have been a member of Croatia women’s national water polo team for years. Beside nature and sports I have a great passion for scandinavian languages and I studied Swedish, Norwegian and Icelandic, so today I also work as a Swedish teacher. Working with people, either in a classroom or walking in nature, gives me a great pleasure.“

Ivo Popovic

Ivo, an ex soldier and ship maker, spent the last few years working as a skipper on sailing boats travelling around Adriatic islands but also as a tourleader on our hiking programs.
Ivo grew up in Germany, where he learned about dedicated approach to work, punctuality and high awareness about safety. This, together with his experience in the army, makes him a perfect tourleader for our more challenging hiking trips in the mountains, where all these elements become more important than elsewhere.
On the other hand, his Dalmatian background and work experience skippering around the Adriatic, gave him the easy-going Mediterranean personality and friendly approach, knowledge about history and culture of the region and „a good nose“ for finding a great local wine & dine place.
